ARKO has been developing and marketing swine vaccines since 1993. Each serial is tested for safety, potency and purity. Over the last couple of years we have added new vaccines to our product line that have proven to be very effective in laboratory efficacy studies as well as in the field.

Edema Vac^®

Licensed in 2003, ARKO's Edema Vac is the only federally licensed F-18 E. Coli product on the market. Edema Vac is available in 100, 200 and 500 dose sizes, and should be administered at 18 days of age or older. The receptor necessary to allow pigs to be actively vaccinated develops in most pigs between 15 and 20 days of age. Some herds that experience excess mortality may benefit from a second vaccination to account for this variation. In recent field studies in small and large scale facilities ARKO's Edema Vac demonstrated efficacy against virulent F-18 E. Coli by decreasing mortality associated with edema disease by nearly 99%. This product is freeze-dried and should be stored at normal refrigeration temperature.

Entero Vac^®

Licensed in 2005, ARKO's newest vaccine on the market, Entero Vac protects against the K-88 strain of E. Coli. It is available in 100, 200 and 500 dose sizes, and should be administered at 17 days of age or older. In field studies ARKO's Entero Vac demonstrated efficacy against virulent K-88 E. Coli by decreasing mortality and morbidity associated with enteritis by over 90%. This product is freeze-dried and should be stored at normal refrigeration temperature.

Nitro-Sal^®

Licensed in 1993,  ARKO's Nitro-Sal provides protection against Salmonella choleraesuis, as well as cross protection against Salmonella typhimurium. It is available in 20, 50, 100, and 500 size doses, and should be administered at one week of age or older. This product is the most stable frozen salmonella vaccine on the market and typically may be administered up to one year after purchase. This product should be stored frozen in a conventional freezer.

Ery Vac^®

Marketed since 1995, ARKO's Ery Vac provides protection against Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae. Erysipelas is carried in the tonsils and the intestine of 30-50% of the swine population. Year round vaccination is the best protection against an outbreak of Erysipelas. Ery Vac is to be administered through the waterline and is available in 100 and 500 dose sizes, and should be administered at age 8 weeks or older. ARKO's Ery Vac is the only freeze-dried vaccine approved for one dose protection on the market. This product should be stored at normal refrigeration temperature.

Nitro-Ery ALC^®

Marketed since 2004, ARKO's Nitro-Ery ALC according to in house testing is the highest titered vaccine on the market, and has shown excellent protection with one dose. It is ARKO's newest version of a  waterline/injectable modified live vaccine. This product provides the convenience of oral or injectable administration. Nitro-Ery ALC is provided in 100 and 250 dose sizes, and should be administered at age 8 weeks or older. This product can be stored in a conventional freezer for two months prior to use.

^{Stable-DYE-zer}

ARKO offers Stable-DYE-zer (click on image to enlarge), a waterline stabilizer with a blue dye to monitor the movement of vaccines through the waterline. ARKO's original stabilizer helps neutralize chlorine in the water, stabilizes vaccine membranes and provides nutrition for vaccines while in solution. The new Stable-DYE-zer provides all of those benefits as well as added stabilization plus the dye to track the movement of the vaccine.
